AMD has no scaling memory

can someone please explain how to make scaling options stick. Basically i have more than one card being used. One of the cards i use on my 1080p lcd tv. Anyways, its impossible for amdccle to remember not to scale, it always reverts back to its default scaling options on reboot. I have had this problem for ages. Now i just through on maverick, still doesn't work. Please help am very fustrated, thanks.

IIRC amdcccle can only permanently save it's settings if it's run as root.
