  • Is overscan slide gone forever?

Hi, I have a pc, running ubuntu lucid, connected to an lcd flat tv.
With the vga cable, the resolution stucks at 1360x768 and the image is perfect.
With the hdmi cable I can go up to 1080i, but there is an huge overscan.
I used to correct the overscan with the overscan slide in the nvidia-settings panel.
In the latest nvidia releases the slider is gone and the "tvoverscan" option in the xorg.conf file doesn't work.
Is there a fix for this problem?

Well your native res is 1366x768 most likely. Would be stupid to use a higher res.

With most TV's you have a resizing option on the various inputs available on the TV. On Samsungs for example there is an option called "Just Scan" and that gets rid of the overscan on that input. Overscan adjustment IIRC was limited to the Composite or S-video out.
