    r300g seems to have been made the default driver now, which is another interesting point for the 7.9 release.

      Given the "when there's need" release style of Mesa might well be that r600g will also be a default driver if release takes long enough.

        OTOH I don't see how it could be released soon, seeing how many regressions there still are from GLSL2...

            Well, I have been pretty impressed with how fast reported regressions are fixed, so it will probably not take too long. I think the biggest omission in GLSL2 is loop unrolling, but that's supposedly worked on.
