I absolutly agree with you.
But it's close of the chicken and egg dilemma: I had absolutly no idea that KMS/UMS would be such an info to give, as in fact I was so sure at first it was totally unrelated to HDMI audio.

I agree and understand.

Part of the problem is that from a developer's perspective UMS died in a fire some time ago, while from a user's perspective KMS is still new and scary.
