    It's completely legitimate to complain about closed source DRM on an open and Free platform such as Linux. Linux has always been against DRM and obfuscated proprietary stuff. I can understand that some people make a personal decision to run such software, but anyone who is surprised that people from the FLOSS community are against DRM and proprietary obfuscation really didn't understand anything about Linux at all.

    Personally, I don't care about Steam, because you always have the option not to run it. This is different from proprietary drivers, where you do not have a choice to avoid them. I'm much more worried about binary kernel blobs than Steam, which only affects gamer kiddies anyway.
