AMD has finally announced their Socket C32 architecture for small servers, and the accompanying Opteron 4100s. I would like to see some articles about how well they perform with Linux.

That would be neat. However, I doubt it will happen soon as the last workstation gear we've seen tested here was a pair of quad-core Shanghai Opterons and some Clovertown Xeons. My prediction is that all of the gear works fine (the SR56x0/SP5100 chipset is well supported in Linux) and performance is roughly that of an equivalently-clocked Phenom II X4 or X6 with Turbo CORE turned off.
