Hi all. Since I've started using kernel mode setting with this card (integrated in a M4A785T-M motherboard), there is some sort of red video noise scattered all over the screen. It is as if individual pixels were flickering very fast. But the strangest thing is that only some specific colors are affected - I can prove it by displaying a gradient: only a few lines of noise appear.
The whole thing happens with every type of application (2D, 3D, video and so on) when such colors are displayed. I can reproduce it with kernels 2.6.33 and 2.6.34 and xserver-xorg-video-ati from version 6.13 up to current git (but it seems a bit better with newer versions). Putting radeon.modeset=0 at startup solves the problem (but of course falls back to UMS). The display is a 40' led Tv connected with a DVI (computer) - HDMI (Tv) connector and running at 1920x1080@50hz. There is nothing in dmesg and Xorg.0.log that is different or strange (compared to UMS). There is no xorg.conf. Any clues? Thanks
