The APU could became the Trojan Horse for a parity of treatment between systems linux respect of windows?
Until now i don't see solution that allow a full use of GPU (except perhaps using proprietary driver and unfortunately nVidia is ahead on Ati in this field).
Or, at least, Apu have the potentiality to simplify the development of instructions capable of a full use of the GPU even on Linux system?


APU (Accelerated Processing Unit): (CPU+GPU)
For example Amd Fusion (Llano) or the first partially attempt by intel with some new model with graphics embedded.

Yeah, linux will have much better out-of-the-box support, but otherwise I believe things won't change that much. Open ati 3d will still be slow, and Intel will be better on linux just as it is now.
