how to get ati radeon 2900 xt crossfire to work with kermic koala

Is there anybody out there that could help me with crossfire on ubuntu kermic koala. I have 2 ati radeon 2900 xt cards that need to be crossfired but for some reason it doesnt wont to happen, i have managed to link the chain between cards but it says , crossfire doesnt surport on platform, do you think it might be because i am useing a 32bit platform ,and i should be useing 64bit .Ddo you think that might do the trick.

It has nothing to do with using a 32 bits or 64 bits OS. I don't know whether CrossfireX is supported in Linux using two 2900xt's. Crossfire might only work for HD3xxx series and higher. I think a HD3870X2 is (or was for a long time) not supported either.

You could also be a bit more specific: what did you do so far to get it working. Where does it go wrong. Which driver version did you try, etc. Provide more details.
