    Hardware:
    AMD Phenom II 955 BE
    Asus M4N82 Deluxe AM3 SLI Motherboard Nforce "980a" (really 780a)
    4gb Gskill PC2 9600 2x2gb DDRII Ram
    2x BFG Nvidia Geforce GTX295 graphics cards (1.7gb each)
    Open Suse 11.2 x64
    KDE 4.3.5
    Nvidia Linux x64 Linux driver 195.30

    Resolution 1680x1050 NoAA All features on including Ambient Occlusion Apparently this engine can only use 1 gpu? maybe in SFR mode, Ill try AFR next--

    Wow those are like really expensive cards, no? And I get a better score on my El Cheapo HD 5750. Nice to know that ATI can beat NVidia on Linux

      I get 42fps on my HD4850 @ 750/1100 wiht the same settings as the OP. CPU is a Phenom X4 at 3GHz. Can you test with one of the cards? Quad SLI is known to be rather inefficient in Windows, so I can't imagine how crummy it would be in Linux. Do you have a Windows install handy that you can test the benchmark on? Would be interesting to compare the different SLI numbers under both operating systems.

        actually I do, I tried AFR mode under Linux and performance was terrible by the way..

          Peformance in Windows was really really bad.. and for some reason it would not set fulscreen mode to my panels native resolution (1680x1050) it fails to do so with an error message, but the demo keeps running. Happens with both directX and OpenGL. This seems as though the Engine itself has issues with quad SLI?
