      Wifi/Broadband are very abundant, yes. But 56k is nowhere near it's death knell. Particularly with a down economy.

        Hah! Yeah, well, all I did was voice my wish for the support to be extended.

        I'd think it might not be as hard as one would think given all the newer technologies that help make hardware more dynamic.(HAL, DBUS, and various APIs within newer desktop suites)

        But I'm not a dev, so I'm not speaking from experience.

          Hello from 56k land... both my grandparents still use it due to cost of cable installation at long distance from the right of way and yes cable is the only broadband provider and satellite is out of the question...
