in trying to get the application Google Sketchup 7 under wine I have come across the workaround that disabling 'dri' fixes the black rendering issue. this makes me fall back to some software rendering thing i don't know much about; anyhow, it works.
mind you, this is a win32 program running under 32 bit wine in a 64 bit system -- the actual issue could stem from anywhere in that stack. however, the fact that disabling dri makes it work makes me wonder what part of my linux video setup isnt playing nice with the rest of it: the xf86-video-ati driver, or mesa ?
i would think dri is mesa, but im not 100% on this .. could you shed some light on this for me please?
