ASUS P5V800-MX
Description: A 64-bit LGA775 socket for Pentium D/Pentium 4/Celeron CPU motherboard. See http://www.asus.com/products4.aspx?m...3&l2=11&l3=229 for details.
Hardware Notes: As this motherboard is based on the VT8251 chipset, SATA support is a challenge. Instructions for making a FC5 driver disk to allow installation are available from http://rajibchy.tripod.com/. Current stability is somewhat questionable. I read somewhere that full VT8251 support is coming with Linux 2.6.18 - take it for what it's worth. The FC5 graphical installer works fine, but graphics have not been otherwise tested. Sound has not been tested. Network and USB work fine.
