Ran across this in my morning news and reviews routine. I had to chuckle a few times reading it. First at the fact that Paul 'Windows Boy' Thurrott was miffed that MS hasn't publicly credit Rafael Rivera for the discovery but also what lead to Rafael's digging into code.

A veteran hacker and Windows internals expert, Rafael became immediately suspicious of the tool's code structure, which he described to me as inefficient and below Microsoft's usual standards.
