Highly indicative kernel test

Thanks for a great site. Please could someone do tests against ubuntu / freebsd with the same filesystem and complied with the latest gcc?
In other words both are compiled with GCC 4.4 (or whatever), and both use the XFS filesystem.
The intention here is to to eliminate as many variables as possible, and test just the performance of the kernel. All if you could load test the servers (X amount of http/smb/ftp/sql requests)
This should answer the majority of the complaints that the tests are "unfair"
