  • Difference between RS780M and RS780MN

I was looking at the specs of two apparently identical Gateway notebooks, but one was like $50 cheaper that the other.

Looking closely, I noticed the cheaper one uses RS780MN while the other uses M780G (which is RS780M according to wikipedia).

Is there any difference between RS780M and RS780MN?

    Thank you.

I've never heard of 780MN. Can you post a link to the specs ?

My guess would be 690 vs 780.

      Here are the specs:

      M780G:
Find the latest drivers, downloads, and help for all your Gateway, Packard Bell, and eMachines products.

      RS780MN:

Nope, both are HD3200, so no RS960 here.

The interesting thing is that one of the products mentions "hybrid graphics" (integrated + discrete) while the other does not, but the specs don't give any details.

Maybe Vista costs more than Win 7

Yeah, maybe the OS is what makes the difference in price. I would prefer it with no OS though
