Hi,
my laptop features a ATI Mobility Radeon X600 graphics adaptor and a 1280x800 internal display. I'm using ATI's fglrx 8.35.5 driver.
I would like to be able to switch from the internal display at 1280x800 to an external display at 1280x1024 resolution. I tried several options without success: Either I have to set the virtual resolution for the internal display to 1280x1024 (with the corresponding and annoying scrolling) or I won't get a 1280x1024 resolution on the external display.
I can get a 1280x1024 resolution on the external display in Big Desktop and Dual Head modes, though. But that's just not what I want.
Has anybody succeeded in something like this?
