    Phoronix: Unigine Engine Updates, Continually Improving

    Last week we confirmed that Unigine's Linux compatible game has been delayed by a few months since Unigine Corp had diverted their resources to finishing out their DirectX 11.0 renderer. This week Unigine has now publicly confirmed their DirectX 11.0 renderer and have said that it is almost ready, but the tessellation support is yet to be implemented...

        Thats to bad they are going to go to direct X. I won't be buying any Direct X products ever again. Direct X 10 was a complete train wreck.
        As well as all the previous Direct X's.
        Open GL is the future!

          I guess for multiplattform you need it, or does Xbox 360 support OpenGL

            Xbox360 does not have OpenGL, but that is a Microsoft-specific Microsoft limitation. All the other consoles, like the PS3 and the Wii, use OpenGL.

                OpenGL features comes in parallel with DirectX ones, so almost all of the new render features will be available in Linux as well.
