Phoronix: Canonical Launches Landscape Dedicated Server
Canonical, the parent company behind Ubuntu, has announced this morning that next month they will release Landscape Dedicated Server. Canonical's Landscape provides systems management and monitoring support for Ubuntu systems, but with Landscape Dedicated Server it should be easier to deploy in data-centers and the like.The press release describes this new Canonical product as, "Landscape Dedicated Server will install in a customer's data center and provide all of the package management, auditing and monitoring capability of the hosted service for both physical and cloud-based Ubuntu instances...
