Good. Now all we need is those beautiful Oxygen icons.

Anyone try it out yet? I haven't tried it yet myself.

The 'To Do' list is still quite long, so I'll have a look once it's near complete...

If I can get Linux back on my spare desktop I'll give it a go. Been having issues with the AM2 for some reason. *kicks computer*

Today, KDE releases a first developer snapshot of the upcoming KDE4 release. This snapshot is meant as a reference for developers who want to play with parts of the new technology KDE4 will provide, those who want to start porting their applications to the new KDE4 platform and for those that want to start to develop applications based on KDE4. This snapshot is not for end users, there is no guarantee that it will be stable, the interfaces are subject to changes at any time.

The good news for developers is that this is a reasonably solid code base for diving into KDE / Qt 4 hacking. By solid I mean that it actually compiles reliably and most programs at least start without crashing

Oh ok... no wonder there haven't been screenshots about, heh.

There is one interesting change with KDE 4... As pointed out in Brandon Holtsclaw's blog (from Ubuntu), it is now possible to compile KDE under Mac OS X without X11.

Second snapshot for KDE 4 is now out. Did anyone give it a whirl? Packages are available for Ubuntu and SuSE right now.

The second KDE 4 developers snapshot is now available. This 3.80.2 release includes source from all the KDE modules. Application developers are strongly advised to work primarily on KDE 4 from now on. This release builds with Qt 4.2.0 and 4.2.1 (but not the 4.2 preview). Packages are available for Kubuntu and currently working through the SUSE buildservice.
