  • timer-stop.sh: Permission denied

    Hi guys,
I tried to run oggenc and lame tests in my system but I get this message:
    ./oggenc: line 2: /usr/share/phoronix-test-suite/pts-core/test-libraries/timer-start.sh: Permission denied
    ./oggenc: line 4: /usr/share/phoronix-test-suite/pts-core/test-libraries/timer-stop.sh: Permission denied
The same for lame. I searched the forums but didn't find something for this problem.
I tried as simple user and as root.
    Any solution?

My system is gentoo and PTS-1.8

    thank you

Did you install it using the ebuild? It shouldn't have any permission problems, especially as root.

When I tried it as root the shell-files weren't executable and when I treid them as simple user I had forgot to add them to the users team.
It works fine now. My gentoo rocks

Apparently the ebuild didn't work well.
