    I don't know yet. There is a bug in the latest git and 2.6.30-rc4 that does not let me load the i915 module. I get this error:

    i915: Unknown symbol acpi_video_exit
    i915: Unknown symbol acpi_video_register

    Don't know what the problem is yet.

      I see that 2.6.30-rc6 is now available, and the Changelog mentions merger of 'drm-intel-next'

        They've been merging it just about every other -rc, the one you're referring to was all bug fixes and shouldn't really affect performance although that was just between rc4 and rc6 and there have been others since rc2.
