  • Problem with "aticonfig"

    Ok first of all, sorry for my bad english

    I want to set the refresh rate of my CRT manually by using the aticonfig tool since it doesent work with a modeline,or xrandr.

    ok i tried to set hsync but i always gives me an error report

    here is an example

    aticonfig --hsync=aticonfig-Screen[0]#,36-96
    Error: Section # expected
    aticonfig: parsing the command-line failed.

    aticonfig --hsync=CRT1#,36-96
    Error: Section # expected
    aticonfig: parsing the command-line failed.

    aticonfig --hsync=CRT1,36-96
    Error: Section # expected
    aticonfig: parsing the command-line failed.

    what am i doing wrong?

    ok i solved refresh rate problem ..s

    first i disabled EDID in xorg.conf then i added the file i /etc/ati/amdpcsdb

    EnableRandr12=SFALSE
    EnableRandr13=SFALSE

    and entered the correct values for VertRefesh horizsync and refresh

    well now Xstarts with 2048x1563 :-) and it still ignores my modelines.
    but now iam able to change the res and refresh with the catalyst tool to the values i need.
