Hello,
KDE 4.2 / radeon 4670 + a TV screen (sony 40w4000)/ opensuse 11.1.
At the beginning, i used xinerama and a 22 inches samsung LCD with my TV. Everything was fine but now i want to use only my TV.
When i disconnect my samsung lcd, after a restart, i can't go under KDE (console mode). "aticonfig --initial" and "startx" give me a black screen and a hard reset, "sax2 -m -r 0 =fglrx" gives me a black screen and this message from my television "the signal is not supported".
Actually i have 2 screen in my living room , wich is not usefull.
What i understood was that "aticonfig --initial" uses the former xorg.conf to create a new one. This xorg.conf, in my situation, contains mostly the information about my 22 inches samsung LCD and almost nothing about my sony TV, well nothing as far as i see.
Do you have an idea to create automatically a new xorg.conf for my TV screen.
Bibi
ps : i'm not at home so i cant post my xorg.conf...
