Phoronix: Texas Instruments Shows Mini Projector At X.Org

A representative from Texas Instruments had showed up in the X.Org development room yesterday to show off one of their new products: a very tiny projector. This projector has a mini HDMI integrated connector for video input, uses LEDs and DLP technology for display, and can easily fit within your palm. Right now this mini projector is only capable of displaying at standard definition resolutions, but within a few short years Texas Instruments will likely have a high definition model...

At least a warning about impending hearing damage would have been nice. If you're on headphones, turn them down before clicking on the video.

Just found out about that, sorry, didn't realize there was a problem in the microphone during that recording,

Cannot see the video here with gnash. Hopefully the other videos from fosdem come as real videos (.ogg theora or anything else, just not flash crap.)

Not unless you know of a video hosting service that supports Ogg Theora downloads.

A little tip about blip.tv is that they always have rss feeds with links to the flv (and here it seems even an mpeg version) of the files.

              http://phoronix.blip.tv/rss

You can watch flv stuff with most players.

Now if only there was a greasemonkey script for blip.tv too, like this one for youtube...

Yes, please provide downloadable videos of everything important (like a lot of Linux sites in the past ). Not everyone has flash, or wants to see crappy quality of Youtube.

                hint hint, Rapidshare, nudge nudge

Can't you simple upload the files to phoronix.com? Or anything else if you don't want to pay the traffic. I cannot see those videos. And espacially *here* should be no use of flash crap! I would *really* like to seed them, just load the videos up on a bittorrent tracker. Or even over DHT. There are so many ways. And I promise I'll seed.

                  Thanks.
