Year to date we have only posted four motherboard reviews to date, which is quite dismal compared to when we were cranking out three new motherboards a month on top of our other reviews. However, a lot of factors attribute to the differences... This is due to lots of work on other types of articles, limited staff and budget, I have been very busy with some other ventures, but more importantly we are working on updating our motherboard evaluation process.
We have largely focused upon overclocking and Linux performance in past articles (along with compatibility notes), but we are now evaluating our evaluation process with focusing more upon the Linux compatibility and tweaking. We will still be benchmarking every motherboard that comes through our hands for testing, but in recent months we have seen more and more motherboards that run into compatibility issues or perform peculiarly with some distributions and other oddities. We are working on a new standard for our motherboard evaluation and review process. When time allows, I will elaborate a lot more on our plans (or David may also be able to shed some additional light).
However, before anything is finalized we would like to hear from our readers and forum goers on what areas you would like to see greater coverage or any other comments that you may have. So feel free to type away as we highly value reader feedback before enacting any major changes.
