  • Linux MacBook Air Killers list



    This blog is to gather information scattered all over the Net about using Linux on MacBook Air killer laptops. That is, laptops that have similar features to Apple's MacBook Air but can otherwise be used under Linux.

    While there are many excellent forums offering users the possibility of posting their experiences on using Linux on MacBook Air killer laptops, there was not one standout site one could visit and get dedicated buzz^D^D^D^Dinformation about Linux on these kind of laptops.

    A month in the race, and https://launchpad.net/~sony-vaio-z-series/ has been leading over https://launchpad.net/~x301 and https://launchpad.net/~e4200-e4300. Linux Sony Vaio Z-series currently accumulates 47 members, Linux Lenovo X301 has 10 members and Linux Dell Latitude E4200/E4300 follows with 7 members.

    HP Voodoo Envy 133 does not even have got a standard RJ45 connector, only a ethernet 2 wireless bridge, call it useless for huger datatransfers - there you need giga bit ethernet. Also how to boot that system via PXE?

      good point, note taken. so far, i've considered the laptops that other websites like engadget or gizmodo have classified as macbook air killers, but I agre there is plenty of room for interpretation. keep the comments coming, it's all good.
