Phoronix Test Suite 1.6.0 Beta 2 was the last planned development release in the Tydal series, but because of quite a few changes coming about in the last couple of days, here is a third beta prior to going final. Below are some of the prominent changes.
This third beta adds in a result-file-to-pdf option for converting a results file into an Adobe PDF document, which makes it easy to distribute these test results via email or by other means. For the Adobe PDF support, the PHP FPDF (php-fpdf) library must be installed.
When installing or running multiple tests and suites, the Phoronix Test Suite will now attempt to report the total install size, download size, and estimated run time.
A smokin-guns test profile has been added in for the Q3-powered western shooter. While that's the only new profile in this release, a few others were also updated.
Some of the other last minute work in this release includes a few OpenSolaris improvements, improved detection of EXT2/EXT3/EXT4 file-systems, improved battery detection support, and an Xauthority / xhost fix for some Linux distributions.
