I always wondered if I'm the only one with this problem:
With fglrx (currently Catalyst 8.12, but this was the case with older versions too) moving a window horizontally (left/right) is very jerky/skippy (skips about 5 or 10 pixels at a time) while moving it vertically (up/down) is smooth as silk (moves pixel by pixel).
This is window manager independent (happens with KDE3, KDE4 and xfwm.)
