Phoronix: RadeonHD Driver Picks Up Rotation Support

Egbert Eich has announced this morning on the RadeonHD mailing list that rotation support has been added to this open-source ATI R500+ driver. This is a feature requested by many to be able to rotate the screen using RandR with the xf86-video-radeonhd driver, which is now possible...

    Great work, devs!

I've got two little questions, maybe one of the devs can answer them:

1.) When will EXA become the default acceleration method?
2.) When will DRI be activated by default?

        Why do you think that?
I think it is really great that radeonhd supports that now. We only need acceleration for R600/700 now.

(When I try to rotate with radeon it freezes my whole computer, and the devs seem to think this is okay. ( Link ))
