External Monitor on a laptop
Hi everyone! I'm new here, obviously, but I've lurked a bit lately...
I have a toshiba satellite laptop with the ATI Mobility Radeon x200 IGP on it. I'm using Ubuntu 8.10 and the proprietary driver. I have a CRT that I would like to run at 1600*1200 at 85Hz connected to the VGA port, and the laptop's panel is capapble of 1280*800 at 60Hz. If possible, I would also like to be able to move things from one screen to another. Between those two things, I would have as much functionality as in Windows... this is really the last problem to tackle before I switch over all the way. What do I do?
P.S. does this go in the Xorg section? Sorry if so...
