    Canonical and ARM have jointly announced today that they are porting Ubuntu to the ARMv7 processor architecture in time for the release of Ubuntu 9.04 (the Jaunty Jackalope).     I hear 9.04 should be a good release for the PlayStation 3 and PPC ports as well.

      What exactly are they porting? Debian, a father and a mother to Ubuntu, fully supports ARM. http://www.debian.org/ports/arm/ Using an already supported platform is not porting, as far as I can see it.
