PTS 1.2 and 1.4 "<OUT OF SPEC>" for RAM?

    PTS 1.2 and 1.4 "<OUT OF SPEC>" for RAM?

    I've done a search for the "OUT OF SPEC" phrase as an issue and came up empty.

    Basically, I am not able to view the index.html created from a "universe-cli" run. Also, I am also not sure if this is related to this test server not being able to upload the results? The "composite.xml" contains a PTS 1.4.0 creation typo/error/issue that has:

    <Hardware>Processor: 2 x Intel Xeon CPU E5420 @ 2.50GHz (Total Cores: 8), Motherboard: Dell Not Specified, Chipset: Intel 5000X Chipset Hub, System Memory: 8 x 4096 MB <OUT-667MHz, Disk: 128GB, Graphics: ATI ES1000 515E (PCI), Screen Resolution: Unknown</Hardware>

    Notice the "<OUT". It causes the xml to fail validation. This PTS version 1.2 put "<OUT OF SPEC>-667MHz".

    This is a Dell PowerEdge 2950 with 32GB RAM

    I think this is issue is from the output of the dmidecode for the RAM that has "Type: <OUT OF SPEC>" in the string.

    Thanks for reporting this issue. I believe in git is now a fix that should fix the RAM detection for you and thus avoid the XML syntax issue.

        It's possible due to the ">" character there, but it still should have said something if the upload failed. Are you using a proxy or anything along those lines?

        You may also want to check Note #2 on http://www.phoronix-test-suite.com/d...4/install.html to make sure that's not the case for you.

          I tried the info as best as I can tell from the install.html with no luck. Must be something related to RHEL 5/CentOS 5. I can upload that composite.xml file from my home Fedora 8 + home-proxy. I can not upload from CentOS 5.2 + work-proxy or +home-proxy(that works).

            I have/added the items noted in that install.html. I was able to upload the info from my Fedora 8 box at home. I don't think it's a proxy issue directly unless the upload does *NOT* pay attention to the http_proxy environment. I get the same "Results Failed To Upload." and no other info (even with DEBUG_FILE and DEBUG set) either if I use the http_proxy for my home proxy or work proxy.

            Note: this is a x86_64 CentOS 5.2 install with minimal gui, but now with lots of devel tools thanks to the install the PTS
