Phoronix: Updates On Sacred, X3, Shadowgrounds

With the Prey for Linux release coming about earlier today, we figure it's a good time to update you on the status of a few other titles in the process of being ported to Linux. In particular, right now we know the status of Shadowgrounds / Shadowgrounds: Survivor and the Linux Game Publishing titles. Sacred: Gold had entered its beta on Linux back in June...

In related news, Greenhouse will soon be available for Linux according to its development blog.
Small note on this .. the game is called "World Of Goo" not Greenhouse..

and one little update, according to the Greenhouse Forum, On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness, Episode Two will be releaesed soon, too.

    Get ready... for October 29th!

Episode Two will be available for Greenhouse digital download (Mac, Linux and Windows, $14.95) as well as Xbox Live Arcade (1200 points) next Wednesday.

Just to clarify it even more: "Greenhouse" is a webshop set up by "Hothead Games" and "Penny Arcade". They already offer the Penny Arcade games for Linux and will offer more Linux games in the future, such as the title you probably meant "World of Goo".

      Phoronix plzfix kthanks!

Doesn't surprise me. Seems like at least a few titles are stalled (Serious Sam 2, Stoked Rider: Alaska Alien, UT3, etc...) that way.

Upshot is, there should be at least one more beta pass coming here shortly with Bandits, maybe two, and then an RC and Gold status in a couple of weeks from now. At least THAT title will be finally on it's way to being out. One upshot will be that it's liable to at least show up on the Pandora, if not the Wiz and Beagleboard- haven't gotten Michael Simms' signoff on one yet, but it shouldn't cost him much of anything on the royalties owed if done right and it's MY time we're wasting trying to get a version of it and a few other titles out the door.
