One of the great features of linux is the virtual desktop. On the console, or even in the various desktop managers. I've tried Xinerama for dual head, and it is nice enough, but I'm not really interested in extending the desktop. What I'd really like to be able to do is have GNOME (or KDE or whatever) treat the extra screen as a virtual desktop. Ie. have the taskbar and system tray on the BOTH screens, and with each minimized app being confined to the desktop it exists on.
Is this possible at all currently?
Thanks
