Those warnings are normal.

One thing to check if 3D works OK without compiz is that

/usr/lib/xorg/libGL.so.1 is a symlink to libGL.so.1.2 and not anything else.

I noticed that if you have libGL.so.1.5.xyz in there fglrx will link to that, which broke compiz for me.

I just check and everything is fine 3D acceleration is excellent but no compiz for me

Can even get gnome up

Hi, I have the same proble except I can even get in to gnome, I checked my symlink, and it is correct, even changed the permissions to allow everything. I get the same error message when viweing the dmesg
