Thread: What Linux Games Are Most Important To You?

Post What Linux Games Are Most Important To You?

I've received a request to find out what the most popular / important Linux games are to you. For those that play any games on their Linux OS, please share the titles below. Once we have a nice list of games, we'll then set it up for a voting process.

While I don't normally play any games, I'll start by listing Enemy Territory: Quake Wars

Note: If you're playing games within WINE, just list WINE but the Windows game being run is not needed.

To be honest, none so far. The games I like are not on Linux. The last I played though has been OA.

In addition to playing quite a few games in WINE, I play:

    - Regnum Online - best native MMORPG for Linux so far, surprised nobody here plays it.. You should do an article on it Michael
    - Urban Terror - Much better than CS for me
    - RTCW and W:ET - for the Woflenstein fan in me :P
    - Teeworlds - Quite the fun little online game, also surprised no one here plays it..
    - Savage 1 - Who can go for long without this one? :P I really want to buy the second part, but money issues prevent me from doing so..

I guess thats it.. I will post again if I find something I missed :P

    (unsorted)
    Already released
    -Quake 3 Arena
-Frozen Bubble (I just love it )
    -Penumbra (It's really awesome)

    Announced:
    -Shadowground

But I can't say which is the best. Even that list is only a top 3/4. I also love d3, et:qw, q4, ut2k4, ss1+1,5+2, nethack, . That's the advantage of Linux as a gaming platform: We get few games, but very good games
