Kano, actually when you go to launch the program it will ask you for your username and password.

I don't post to much on any forum, however like many people I read Phoronix regularly (& a new member as of today!)

I've been using Linux as a primary OS since '98, and I have a ton of experience with Debian and Ubuntu, and some (not positive) experience with MythTV.

I would love to try this out on Fedora!

Any chance you have another of those invites left?

I've figured it out. An "apt-get update", as opposed to "aptitude update" has revealed some more information...

So, no 64 bit boxee?

Does anyone know if Ubuntu/Hardy's 32 bit kernel ever got fixed to recognize multiple cores?
...that was my primary reason for switching to 64 bit.

The generic kernel support smp, just not the 386 one.

I did some looking and found that there's a bug regarding some 32-bit kernels (I think it started around 2.6.18) on Athlon X2 CPU's (not activating the second core). I'm compiling linux-2.6.26.2 (with PAE support - so 32 bit can see all my RAM, too). Wish me luck.

I use a X2 all the time and I had _always_ 2 cores active - PAE does not matter, only CONFIG_X86_SMP=y.
