    It depends on what you want to do with the sparc support... v8 emulation is pretty good. qemu-system-sparc It can boot just about anything although there are occasional regressions. Unfortunately it isn't very fast emulation... though I think it may have improved somewhat recently.

    qemu-system-sparc64 Sparc v9 emulation is passable at this point (good enough to boot a linux distro and maybe bsd but is more actively developed these days.

      GNOME Boxes maybe is great at easily launching something but it doesn't even let you to edit qemu command line, e.g. complete lack customization. So the deal is to launch with Boxes and then steal the launching parameters via ps or something; in the end it is same terminal with no GUI.
