    Yeah, but at core level, these things remain the same micro-optimized assembly code (or directly intels cpu extensions).
    e.g. we would be comparing chickens and chickens, only difference being a cage that stores them (elf vs whatever mac uses).

      The most interesting for me is to test java/rails/ruby/nodejs/nginx/apache/postgres/mysql, and may be imagemagick and openssl in short server tests to understand how big difference is beetween dev OS X and production Ubuntu/Debian/CentOS.

        I would add OpenCL 1.2 support tests would be great as GPGPU community would like to know how badly Nvidia support this API's under Linux (on OS X, according to Mathematica, it seems that Nvidia cards are OCL 1.2 capable).
