Nothing like that needed... if you does not build your own you can use those automated builds, for example this current one:

Place base folder with original assets taken from game in that folder, and that should be it . You can also run game like this, and everything happens in that folder:

    Code:
    ./openjk_sp.x86_64 +set fs_homepath "."

      This one works beautifully, thanks.

The Star Wars Mac ports by Aspyr (JK2, JA, KotOR, TFU) and the updated-in-house LucasArts adventure games (the Last Crusade, Loom, the Fate of Atlantis, The Dig) featured on Steam were done prior to Lucasfilm's purchase by The Walt Disney Company. I would be happy to be proven wrong, but I don't think Disney is interested in paying anyone to port old Lucasfilm Games/LucasArts titles, Star Wars or otherwise. If GOG is willing to officially support some of the older games via DOSBox (Dark Forces) and ScummVM (the Fate of Atlantis, Sam & Max Hit the Road) on Linux (limited to Ubuntu and Linux Mint), Disney appears content to let it, but Disney lists Windows as a requirement for those games on its own website. At least the rights for Grim Fandango were acquired from Disney, and that classic has been (somewhat) remastered and is available for Linux.

With Electronic Arts now holding the license to make new Star Wars games, I don't expect any upcoming Star Wars titles to be released for Linux either. With regard to future games, Disney is the warden, EA is the bull queer, and Star Wars is the prag.
