If you were hoping that Linux 2.6.26-rc8 would be the last release candidate and the Linux 2.6.26 kernel would be released over the Independence Day weekend here in the US, guess again. There was enough fallout from the 2.6.26-rc8 release that Linus Torvalds has decided to issue a Linux 2.6.26-rc9 kernel release...
