  • What will replace udev?

    On page: https://wiki.freebsd.org/Graphics
    I have read:
It has been reported that udev will be replaced in the Linux world in the medium term (say, a year). The next solution isn't known yet, maybe something tightly integrated to systemd.
    Mirror (I hope stable) https://archive.today/XZxJ3

So what will replace udev? Maybe this is just misunderstanding between some FreeBSD people and udev people and nothing will replace udev?

No way, something that juicy would have been covered by our friendly investigative journalist :P

Generally so far it looks like it is still udev, maybe somewhat integrated with systemd. I wouldn't expect too much competence from pathetic losers, whose graphics stack is loosely based on old Linux kernel like 3.8 and unable to deal with most of modern GPUs.
