That is the most obvious bait.

It would be horrible for the project if something were to happen to him.

It would be horrible for any project to have something happen to the lead developer -- what's your point? BTW, in this particular case; in light of claims that someone has been trying to create a bitcoin fund to hire a hitman to kill Poettering, a comment like this could be viewed as a veiled threat. That stuff like this is going on in the open source community really pisses me off. Get a grip, people. It's free, open source software. If you don't like it, don't use it. Switch to gentoo or slackware or BSD (disclaimer: now the BSD folks are talking about doing something similar).

Even if you don't like him, you have to admit he is.

Anyway, reminds more of the old KDE rule: Those that code decides. Lennart decides a lot of things on Linux (for good and bad), and he can do that because he maintains and codes a lot of things no one else want to touch.

LOL nope. Given what systemd does (redo existing stuff in standalone new framework with perf in mind), ex .NET devs would probably sub him well.

WTF is wrong with you, man?

[EDIT] I just realized that it could be either an asshole comment or a genuine point-out. If the former, go to hell. If the latter, accept apologies.
