SpringRTS is not included as far as I know, it's a mature open source game engine, one of the bigger open source game projects.
I had opened a topic about including Spring in PTS at the Spring forums http://springrts.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=27411
Here on the Phoronix forums there was a request to include Spring serveral years ago.

Unfortunately it still looks like they don't have a benchmark mode in Spring, at least per that thread.

unreal engine benchmarks would be nice to see.

        for example Borderlands 2 /TPS ..
i think the engine is capable for that

console key is disabled by default on those games but when enabled it seems to have full list of commands what you would expect from UE3

AFAIK, Borderlands 2 doesn't allow any benchmark mode / timedemo.

When comparing different drivers, the CPU and GPU usage should always be included. Yes, radeontop still requires root on most kernels, type "sudo phoronix-test-suite" :P

                Power consumption

Power consumption benchmarks between Win7, Win8 and several Linux distros should be interesting.
IMHO difference in power consumption between desktop environments should be of particular interest, such as all five Ubuntu official flavours (since Lubuntu actually said that one of their goals was to reduce power usage).

Don't forget Fedora, openSUSE and Debian.
Arch is pretty much what the users make it, so perhaps Manjaro?

                Also, WattOS.

                  i think it has

                  timedemo1_p -benchmark -seconds=60 -novsync

will test it if i have time

Latency, Disk IO scheduler (BFQ vs others), Regular scheduler (BFS vs others), Boot

It would be great to see a comparison of Linux disk IO schedulers, especially how the new and exciting BFQ compares to all the others. A comparison of regular schedulers including the Brain Fuck Scheduler vs others would also be great. How about BFQ + BFS together? And while you're at it, throw in Btrfs too!

It's been awhile since you've done any boot time comparisons... I'm still waiting for that coveted 10 second boot

Latency tests (response time to keyboard and mouse) would be great, but I know they're hard to quantify.

                    Other ideas:
Coreboot vs original BIOS on several motherboards
Program start up time (fresh vs repeat)
Memory usage in Desktop environments and individual programs (fresh vs several minutes of use)

Why is that interesting? All drivers have different memory managment, nothing to conclude there about blobs . Only opensource ones have default, but you can change it
