They found out that the micro stuttering happens regardless of HW (nv/amd) or SW. And they showed it was running fine on a R9 290 with bleeding edge free driver stack.

2560?1440, Vblank = on, gfx = max settings, dynamic lights true and performance gov for CPU (Core i7 3770K, 16 GB RAM). Resulted in 40-50 fps. Dynamic lights off give 5-10 fps more, micro stuttering happened normally after loading an area.
