Canonical's work is not necessarily platform specific I guess.
Since Ubuntu Touch is using QtQuick and Trojita is currently QWidget based, there is likely adapter code that Trojita could be interested in for their own QtQuick based UIfi they eventually want to have one.

      Cheers,

No but it would be beneficial for both projects if fixes in the IMAP back-end etc. can be used in both projects.

Yes, cooperation would be great. Not only between Canonical and KDE, but all over the open source community. But instead its a mudslinging Contest with politcal(commercial) Agendas where the community is used to push own interests.
And the community jumps on every shitstorm someone is trying to start :/ (like seen in this thread and how people talk about canonical having a CLA while they dont even know that even KDE asks their contributers to sign a CLA)

You should probably honour your own advice, the last part of that sentence is wrong.

It is a very different thing. It allows KDE e.V. to represent the signee, the signee retains full rights to their contribution, the signee can at any time revoke it and so on.

And it is not a requirement, one can contribute to any part of KDE's efforts without it.

                Cheers,

Even if you think it is is CLA, KDE doesn't require anyone sign it. Signing it is entirely optional.

Don't talk to me about CLAs because I didn't bring that topic up nor did I talk about CLAs earlier in this thread.
The topic I brought up was the removal of the ?any later version? clause and Canonical did that all by themselves.
