Maybe because, you forget about classic parts

radeon/r200 covers HW from 2001-2004

r200 works fine too at begenning year i tried 9250 with 3.14 kernel, mesa 9, 1920x1080 and many old, but even some new lightweight games also works there (of course when you know for what card is capable of )... it does not perform as at its best days, but overall it still works .
