Closed source to opensource

Oracle regarding VirtualBox. They have an opensource and a closed source commercial edition.

Also if i do remember right Wine has also a closed source counterpart from code weavers.

i tried to contact oracle for virtualbox no success

VirtualBox has proprietary extensions/guest additions, that's all. Oracle sells commercial support too.

Microsoft To Open-Source .NET, Bring It Officially To Linux

I don't think Microsoft has much experience with Open Source yet. But at least they started with a Open Source journey now (or they started even earlier ).
