    This is great news. In other words, L4D1, you are the next (and the last Valve game needed to be ported).

      What's the point? I think all L4D1 campaigns are playable in L4D2.

          There are many things than I prefer from the first one in relation to the second one, it needs less resources, it feels more like a complete game (I can play from the first map until the last one, knowing the order of the story), the second is a mess in relation to that. As me there are more people than think similar. But its just my opinion, after all Valve promise than all their games were going to be ported.

            Game seems to be very bugged right now. Now sound, random crashes and once i got into the game, i was not able to move, only slide by jumping. Other than that, everything maxed and I still get FPS above 144 which is nice.

                On Arch you have to delete a couple of libraries from the game to get it to run...

                Counter-Strike Global Offensive/bin/libstdc++.so.6
                Counter-Strike Global Offensive/bin/libgcc_s.so.1

                No sound, the guns in the inventory look weird, and it crashes loading maps with an Segmentation Fault.

                This on Arch running on AMD HD5770 Mesa driver.

                  You only need to to this with the open source drivers.

                    I got a live GOTV match to work (Overgrown), and some sounds do work.
                    I can't get the performance, opening the settings crashes the game
